SF Giants Parade – Orange Peel

Go Giants!!! It’s amazing, SF Giants won the Championship after 56 years.

Today, crowds pack in the city for Giants World Series Championship Celebration – Parade. It’s a special day because this has been a childhood dream for many people to witness their favorite baseball team to win the World Series! So many people counted on them to write off the history.

Giants World Series Champions 2010

The San Francisco Giants won the 2010 World Series in five games.

The Parade started at 11 a.m. in downtown SF, but the fans were there in the early morning getting ready for their heros. I wanted to go but had to work!!

We didn’t get day off at work today, obviously our boss is not a big Giants’ fan 🙂 But we are lucky enough to work a block down from Ball park. I saw orange people walking around from our office window, heard the cheerful songs…. “I really don’t want to miss this ‘once a life thing’!” My heart just kept telling me for the entire morning. Finally, I grabbed two of my co-workers, ran out of our office and headed to Civic Center.

OMG, I never seen so many people in San Francisco except Halloween parade a few years ago. The orange people were everywhere, street, subway stations, buses, restaurants, and some of them were hanging on the tree. People cheered, clapped for their team. I saw the hope on each of the faces. The city is filled with joy and excitement!
